The Event: Taking a Time Out

We are completely excited – Patch and I are getting married!! Yep, he’s gonna make an honest woman outta me! Every girl dreams of her wedding from a young age; I’m no different. I’ve always wanted the perfect wedding and I’ve been trying to hard to create that this time around for us. I became overwhelmed Sunday with planning that I took the day off and went for a drive just to clear my head. It did me some good – I realized that I was stressing out over the wrong things. It doesn’t matter how perfect the wedding is as long as I am celebrating life with my true friends and family. The weight was lifted and yesterday while hanging laundry I found myself practicing my dance steps!

Shhh….It’s Not Just My Secret

Ladies, it’s not a secret – we ALL have a huge inventory of clothes! It’s impossible not to between the SL events we attend, clothing stores and groups we get ads for, and of course, all the hunts! While I have yet to resolve the issue of items other than clothing, I do have a solution for your closet!

We all have a mess in our inventory – it’s hard not to.  Wouldn’t you rather the closet portion of your inventory to look like this?

It is completely possible with one purchase within SL. And I want to tell you about it!

Let me be upfront and clear about something. I am not affiliated with the creator of this magical clothing sorter, nor do I receive any kind of kickback from it. I simply want to make sure my readers know that there is an amazing product on MarketPlace that could just make your SL a lot easier.

There Is A Solution!

In December of 2017, I purchased the CTS Wardrobe. It was supposed to make my closet so much easier to sort through. However, it got lost between the other things I was doing in SL and I put it on my to-do list. Enter January of 2019 and I cannot find anything I haven’t worn recently. It was annoying trying to find something to wear for New Years because I couldn’t find anything under the keywords I would have used. Then I remembered my wardrobe. 

No joke y’all! This thing is amazing. You can save your items in pieces, as an entire outfit, or both! It’s all about how YOU want to organize yourself. It does take dedicated time and effort on your part (but no more than saving an outfit in SL Appearance menu). You get to choose the name of the outfit, the keywords to do your search and any other information you want to keep handy. Plus, the wardrobe will give you the social media connections of the designers so you can find them easily. The last HUGE bonus of this wardrobe is that once you buy it, you get free updates and when you are saving pictures for your outfits, they are online so no need to spend linden on every photo. If you used SL for the same organization strategy, you’d be out a LOT of linden just to import the photos. 

The wardrobe comes with everything you need – instructions, walkthroughs, HUD, inworld wardrobe and viewer plus the free online wardrobe link. The cost of the wardrobe is $699 (as of the blog date). Had I done this with my outfits and such in SL, I would have spent much more to upload all the photos and still couldn’t have organized with keywords except in the name.

This is how easy it is to decide what you want. Once your items are uploaded into your wardrobe, you can visit the link and select the items you want to wear….even BEFORE you log into SL. See how easy that is?  Who wouldn’t want this kind of easy in your life?

7event: Saving Earth

I love action movies! Patch and I regularly watch some type of action film or TV series. When it’s a great movie or series, I get so drawn into the action that I’m jumping with the change of camera angles and yelling at the characters. It’s like I’m part of the movie! Well, I finally got to experience what it is like to save the world. I have to admit, I’m a little too excited to release these photos!

Who Run the World?

Thanks to the incredible designing of MATA Poses, I was able to create my own “Saving Earth” scene. This fatpack of ROUGE REBEL poses comes with seven poses and even a sci-fi scene. I used the 1st and 5th poses of the set. (Note: the poses do not come with the guns. I purchased these guns for 10L off MP just for these photos – don’t judge me based on the guns Ha!)

 

Dressed Like A Hunter

The outfit, Nelli from JZULUS, was the perfect addition to this scene. The clothing is made for Maitreya only and comes with five texture choices. There is no texture HUD but the clothing labels are clear and the texture choices are adorable.

the event: Three is a Charm with You

Patch and I came to Second Life already married. Since then, we’ve had twin Zooby babies and plan to add more as time goes on. (Yes, I’m one of those baby lovers!) The longer we’ve been here the more romance I find and great photos of engagements and weddings.  I felt like we missed out on some fun stages in SL, so I tried to recreate some fun moments with the help of GeMyles Couture and the new You line!

the event: My Hero

You know, it’s all fun and games until someone has one too many drinks! That’s when I called in my back up!  It started out as another Friday night out on the town – just me and my girl, Sammy. We found what looked to be a fun bar to hang out and dance. WRONG! We walked into a bar brawl – men punching their neighbor, beer glasses shattering on the floor, and some really outdated biker chick yelling, “Let him have it, Rickie!” It wasn’t pretty. We tried to leave, but the door was already blocked and all I could do was call Patch to rescue me from the disastrous night. Lesson learned….next time, Sammy picks the club!

The Rangers

 I love baseball – never played it – but I am fascinated by the stats and averages of sports. Baseball just brings my geek out, and I’m a huge Rangers fan. When my friend Monkey of Monkey Wear heard about my fascination, he made me this awesome Rangers tank top. The Ride

I had the most amazing afternoon. Sammy took me to an MC; I haven’t been on MC property in nearly a year and I was hesitant at first. However, in minutes I was amazingly surprised by what I found.  I made a new friend, Lethal, President of the MC, who doesn’t live too far from me in RL; he showed me around the sim and took me on a bike ride. I did warn him that I am not a great rider, but he was patient and even laughed with me when I ran off the track (which he told me was impossible….apparently it isn’t!). I’m so accident prone I just knew he would get frustrated, but he didn’t. It was horrible having to re-rez my bike like FIVE TIMES and get back on, but I did it.  I was determined not letting 3000 meters of height take me down without a fight. I FINALLY made it to the top – where he had a king and queen….trophy…surrounded by game tables (and y’all know how much I love game tables!). Y’all know I had to capture the moment!

All in all, it was a great day – new friend, new favorite place, and new experience on my bike. I’ve challenged Lethal to a game of bowling and we may get to it one day, but for now…I’m celebrating the win and the ride. The company was great, and I can’t imagine today getting topped any time soon.  Note to self:  (1) Learn how to ride your bike before doing it in public! (2) If you’re gonna embarrass yourself in front of a hot man, make sure you can at least laugh at yourself. (3) Don’t let the challenge defeat you…come back fighting.

the event: Fire Escape

Last night was such a great night! One of my friends invited me out to a rock club and we had a great time. For once, I didn’t have to DJ and it was music so different than what I have been spinning lately. We danced on the bar with the DJ and hostess and just rocked out! The only problem I had was coming down off the music high – I crashed and needed to escape. Best place – the club’s fire escape where I could still hear the music, but I could think and process. I fell in love – with music, with a man, with a voice, with a place that just brought everything together for me. I’m still reeling and floating.
